Climate Connection

Connecting for the Climate

About our Climte Connection Meetups

Climate change can feel overwhelming—its causes and consequences stretch across science, economics, history, and philosophy, connecting the local with the global. That’s why we host a variety of climate-focused meetups: to explore these complexities together in a thoughtful, grounded way.
From our Climate Book Club to more philosophical circles and topic-based conversations, each gathering is designed to spark reflection, encourage exchange, and support critical thinking. At the heart of it all is a simple belief: that caring for the climate also means caring for each other.
We believe real change doesn’t start with pressure or perfection, but with connection—with honest dialogue, shared meals, quiet curiosity, and the courage to imagine something different.
Each meetup is an open invitation: come as you are, meet others who care, and explore together solutions

Climate Pizza Night

Join us for a fun and relaxed evening where participants can connect over delicious homemade pizzas while discussing climate issues. These informal gatherings are a great way to meet others who share your passion for sustainability, learn about practical climate solutions, and exchange ideas in a friendly atmosphere.
It’s a chance to truly connect with one another and spark meaningful conversations.
We’ll share ideas, discuss key climate topics, and build connections all over a slice of pizza!

Sunday Dream & Dialogue Sessions

One Sunday a month, we come together to slow down, reflect, and imagine new ways of living—in connection with each other and the planet.
From basic income to carbon taxes, from city design to lifestyle shifts—we explore ideas and proposals that could shape a more livable future. Some themes are playful (What would life be like with universal basic income?), others more reflective (Have we forgotten what “enough” feels like?), but all are rooted in climate, care, and curiosity.
We might sit in the garden or greenhouse, or even puzzle while we talk. There’s no pressure for outcomes—just people coming together to connect, think critically, and share visions of what’s possible.
This is for you if you’ve been craving honest conversations, quiet imagination, and a space where it’s okay to not have everything figured out.

Climate Book Club

The Climate Book Club is for those who love reading or listening to books and discussing important topics together, with plenty of time to engage deeply with the material.
Every few months, we choose a new book that explores a different aspect of climate change. Each book will also be available in audiobook format, making it accessible for everyone. Instead of rushing through, we break it down into smaller sections to allow for thoughtful discussion at each meetup, which will take place on Sunday afternoons.

This is a space to reflect, engage in conversation, and learn together, with every book offering fresh insights into both the challenges and solutions of climate change from various perspectives economy, philosophy, community, and more.
We plan to discuss the books in English, but you’re welcome to read in the language you prefer.
Each new book starts with a Kickoff Meeting to introduce the book, give an overview, and meet the people who are interested in reading and discussing it.

What can we do against Climate Change

Addressing the multifaceted challenges of climate change involves leveraging everyone's unique resources, time, knowledge and networks. Some individuals prefer being political activists and protesters; others contribute behind the scenes. Some people connect to the issue through working in nature, others through academia, and some favor hands-on activities. Some require a philosophical approach, while for others, graphics and science suffice. All these contributions are vital and necessary.
However, a crucial point stands out: the significance of building and finding your community. Collaborating with like-minded individuals ensures you're not facing this crisis alone. Remember, addressing climate change is a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes things can make you feel very optimistic, and other times not so much. Having a supportive community committed to long-term action is invaluable.

If you want to get involved but don't know where or how to start, we recommend taking some time to explore activities that resonate with you. You might be surprised by the array of options available where your skills, knowledge, or passion can make a difference.
One invaluable tool for discovering where you can contribute most effectively is the Climate Venn Diagram. If you're unsure where to begin or how to participate, we recommend watching "How to Find Joy in Climate Action" by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson | TED. This includes the explanation of the Climate Venn Diagram.
