Details What will it take to reach the +1,5 C goal? We hear and read and discuss different actions or policies that we should but a lot of time it can be quite difficult to imagine which combinations we need and how and when it will have an effect.
En-ROADS is a freely-available online climate change policy simulation model that provides policymakers, educators, businesses, the media, and the public with the ability to explore dynamics in energy supply, land use, transportation, carbon removal, and more.
This meetup is for everyone who is interested in exploring together. Everyone is welcome from the newbie to the climate subject to the experienced.
No preparation is necessary! All you need is the desire to learn and think together.
We will work together to reach by the end of the session the +1,5 C goal. We will discuss and look into the policies that we choose and how they would affect us depending on where we leave.
Developed by Climate Interactive and the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative, En-ROADS is a system dynamics model that weaves together the best available science and research into how our world reacts to interventions into our energy and land use choices. It factors in important dynamics such as delay times, progress ratios, price sensitivities, historic growth of energy sources, and energy efficiency potential.
